Maddie and Dane had their little girl on December 29, 2023. What a wonderful way to end the year!! Clementine Jo Romberg - 7 pounds, 21 inches - PERFECT! Maddie is wonder woman - she had the baby at home! With a midwifes' help! Yikes!! She's tired. Beautiful - just from Heaven!! Emily came over from Denver to be with them a week. Then Kurt drove the rest over to pick her up and meet darling Clementine!
On Wednesday, December 27, all the Utah Daughters and Granddaughters came to Salt Lake for the 2:00 matinee of the Nutcracker. When I was a little girl, my Smith Grandparents had season tickets to Kingsbury Hall at the U of U. They got tired of seeing the Nutcracker every December (?) so they gave their tickets to my Mother and she took each of her daughters one by one - only two tickets! I took Polly when we lived in Sandy - she was 6 years old. Granny gave her some butternut Life Savers to help keep her quiet - children at that time they asked to be 8 years old - Polly did great. It has become a wonderful Christmas tradition for the women in the family to attend a Nutcracker - where ever they are! This flyer was inside the program. This is our door decoration for now! Several of the missionary apartments we have lived in had a picture of the Savior either on the door or in a window - we will do the same! Walking this morning we saw this Haughty Bird - they are large and 'caw' like a crow with a sore throat! Really a loud, ugly sound! Also on our walk we found this 'Secret Garden' looking door! Sam and Lilly - she is trying to figure who those funny people are on the screen! Sam says she is eating real food now and loving it!! She can roll over both tummy to back and back to tummy - go Lilly!!! The young man in the brown suit coat was baptized last Sunday, confirmed this Sunday - Elder Hughes on the far left, Elder Chanzu from Kenya on the right. Simbona brought a friend to church!
