Happenings

This is the result of having a basal cell carcinoma operated on! Seven stitches - not much discomfort or pain.  Elder Smith is a good nurse - he watched and  said the cancer was about the size of a cherry.  We are grateful for good medical help and processes!
Those are the sewer pipes that run up the side of our apartment building - Dukes Court.  Elder and Sister Goodson lived on the ground floor and were having water leaks in their flat - both bathroom and kitchen floor.  They moved to the newer apartment building, Oxford 51, and the day after they moved - the pipes were fixed!
They are replacing the electrical wires in the whole Area Office.  this is our area and we had to take our computers to another room to work!

Finished product - really looking nice!  More plus and less power bars!

Senior Sisters out to lunch to celebrate Sister Simmons and Sister Fox - we always enjoy our time together!
When I made the reservation (booking) I was asked who had the birthdays - then when we got to the restaurant they had this cute sign!
This is a stuffed Wart Hog at Cambanos store - it's nice to see where the wart hog teeth key chains come from - the lower smaller tusks!
Our whole Area Office is participating in a Light the World campaign.  We are collecting items for a shelter for abused women and children.  There are boxes all around the campus and this is the one in our part of the office.
This is the box  - we can order items from a company called Take A Lot and pay online and they deliver to the office!  Great project - however, I liked last years better - providing clothes, toys and candy to an orphanage!  I guess there are many ways to Light The World!!!!
