Miscellaneous around Town!
We have a Retractaline clothes line in our study - this is the clothes pin bag that was here - it reminded me of the hours I spent growing up - in our yard in Sandy, hanging up the clothes on the line! Happy memories!
This is the Mahi Mahi that Twitchell's son-in-law caught and we ate some of!
This is the Red Snapper and Sister Twitchell catching it! Both fish dishes were delicious - and the Twitchell's so kind to share with us!
These are our two Elders serving in Kwa-Thema right now. We brought them some food and they are pictured eating the lemon squares - their note said: This is the best food we have ever eaten!!! Funny guys!
Most Monday mornings we attend the Employees Devotional in person. This Monday we had to be somewhere else soon afterwards so we watched online - about 90+ participants! Always a good thing to start the week off with prayers, songs and scriptures!
Our car needed to go in for repairs to the side panel - Elder Smith backed into a post like these except at the Area Office. They gave us a fleet car to use while ours was being fixed. It is a little smaller and a little easier to turn into the parking garage. At our old flat - Oxford 51, we had two parking places side by side - so we just used the middle! Here at Duke's Court we have to just use one - I usually stay outside and help Elder Smith when backing up.
The cement posts in our end of the garage are placed sideways - in the other parts they are longwise - much each to get into parking places!
One morning walking we saw this cute lady coming down the street. I asked her if I could take her picture and she said yes! We see people all the time with loads on their heads - one lady had a blue camp cooler on her head! Another sister told us she saw a lady with a stack of egg cartons, some on her head and bags of eggs in both hands! This lady must sell the buns in her bin.
See the red letter 'L' in the back window? That means the driver is 'learning' - pretty clever I think! I threatened to get one for Elder Smith when we first got here!! He is amazing driving - only sometimes I need to remind him to drive on the left side of the road!
