Thanksgiving "Smithgiving" Thia said! November 23, 2023

Thanksgiving was awesome! ALL ten children and many grandchildren came to Provo, thanks Kroeber's!  Heather took out the front room furniture and borrowed tables and chairs from her church building to accommodate 54 family members!  All ten wonderful children, ten amazing spouses, and 34 of 38 terrific grandchildren.  We missed Jordan, Maddie and Dane, Savanna, and Christian.  We did get to talk to Christian in Cape Verde on facetime - delightful!!!  Heather had the boys go to the church and told them to just push the tables and chairs up the hill to their house - they did!

Grandpa and Reid enjoying pie and ice cream!

Kurt and Emily and Emma, Clark, Faye, Sheffield, and Ruby stayed with us - wonderful!  Here we are eating in our dining room!  The children liked having Fairbanks cousins so close and played in our basement with the Suit of Armor and bean bags game.
Heather had set up a games room in her basement for the teenagers, and this great play room for the little ones.  Sweet Lilly and I played dolls - she "put my baby to bed"!  Loved seeing the doll cupboard that my Dad made for me when I was five years old!
Everyone took a turn with family pictures on Heather's front porch... here are the Fairbanks.
Sheffie and Ruby liked riding the 'lift' down and up our back stairs.

Stan, Thia, Julie and Silas.  It was so good to have the Montana Smiths come and be with us.

Silas and Zain liked the electric car in Heather's front yard!  Cute cousins.

What an amazing feat - ALL the Smith children in one place - that last happened in 2019 at Sam and Allie's wedding in Minnesota!!  Love it but didn't have enough time with each - so looking forward to 2025 and a three day family reunion!!

What an amazing picture!!!  What a wonderful mob!!!  Thanks again Heather for all you did!  Thanks to all for coming.  Stan and Julie decided to come, then Kurt and Emily felt like they were the only ones not there - and they decided to come!!!  Love and hugs to ALL!!! It was an amazing day.  Thia, seven years old, called it "Smithgiving!"
