November events
Polly's November 1st Birthday - celebrated with Fairbanks!!
She comes up to Lindsey's one or two times a week and it is a huge help - and the grandchildren LOVE their Auntie Polly.
Car quilts for the college aged grandchildren. Kyle, Joel, Eli, Sophie and Grace plus Sydney, Jordan, Kacey and Shelby all got one for Christmas. I want them in their car so they can use them for a picnic or an emergency!! Loved making them - love them!
Tying a quilt for a sister's daughter in the ward who was getting married! This is a great tradition and I love doing it!
On November 15th we visited a Russian family from Irkutsk! They have migrated to the US and live with another missionary family in Layton. So fun to see them and remember times in Irkutsk. Sister Filippova was the Primary President, her daughter, Vicka, the only YW in the Branch! They also have two boys, 16 and 13 who were in school when we visited!
Sorry this quote is sideways - I don't know how to fix it - but I like it! I bought this at a thrift store in Lewistown, MT! Georgia's soccer team were invited by her coach to be the Ball Girls at a Westminster game, November 1, 2023. The coach is a player on the Westminster team. Millie went with us and we drove to Salt Lake. Getting into the game Grandpa asked if they took credit cards. The two college aged young ladies at the table said: "No but there's a QR code you can use." Harold said: "I don't know how to do that." Georgia: "I do grandpa" and she grabbed his phone and did it!!! Georgia and teammates lined up and shotting goals at half time. CO won the match but we had a great time.
Cutest soccer Ball Girl ever!! It got cold as the sun went down - we bought hot chocolate on the way home. November 17th we drove to Flagstaff, AZ on our way to see Tom and Jean in Gilbert. We stayed at a motel so we could drive in daylight. Saturday morning we made it to Gilbert and loved being with Tom and Jean for a few hours. Here Tom and Harold are holding a picture of their parents. Jean and I think Tom resembles Phyllis more and Harold Sam! All wonderful people!!
Tom, Jean, Dianne and Harold. They have a lovely home and their daughter Nicki and family have moved in to help take care of them and the big house and yard.
Brothers reunited! Tom 84, Harold 81 - handsome men!!
