Montana State Football and Derrell and LaNore visit Utah!

Stan and Julie have season tickets for the MSU football games - Montana came to Ogden to play Weber State and we got tickets for us and Polly and Chris.  Polly graduated from Weber, 1997. We cheered for the Bobcats -as did most of the people who sat near us!!  They won big!!

During the football game, Derrell called!  It was so noisy it was hard to hear him but he said he and LaNore and Sterling were in Utah!  They invited us to attend the Tabernacle Choir concert the next day, Sunday, September 24th.  We arranged for Dan and Lindsey to teach our Primary class and met Derrell on Temple Square.

The Choir is so good!  We sat up near the front and totally enjoyed the whole program.
My twin brother and I - 78 years old!  Sure love him! 
                                        

Our group outside of the Tabernacle.  Sterling is 16 now - growing up fast.  Loved spending a little time with the AK side of the original Smith Family!

Area Office

  Sunday October 31, Elder and Sister Elggren drove us to our assigned ward - the Kwa Thelma 2nd ward.  It was Stake Conference and both wards met together - great talks!  Wonderful to meet the people we will be serving on Sundays.  It is about a 40 minute drive from the city - delightful children. The Temple is right next to the Area Offices - all are in a park like setting - an old estate that the Church purchased. View from behind the temple. Great granddaughter Clementine Jo Romberg - born December 29, 2023

Maddie and Dane had their little girl on December 29, 2023.  What a wonderful way to end the year!! Clementine Jo Romberg - 7 pounds, 21 inches - PERFECT! Maddie is wonder woman - she had the baby at home!  With a midwifes' help!  Yikes!!  She's tired. Beautiful - just from Heaven!!  Emily came over from Denver to be with them a week.  Then Kurt drove the rest over to pick her up and meet darling Clementine!

Our Self Reliance Office

  Brother Philip showing Elder Smith some of the places we have Pathway students.  He has traveled extensively all over the world. He is really a wonderful manager - his office is right next to ours.  This is a poster we have been working on - the senior couples will take it to their individual chapels this weekend and ask the Bishop/Branch President if they can post it on the bulletin board...hopefully! Elder Smith hard at work! Copy machine in the background - Display behind it...for projects. Sister Smith hardly working!!   Both of our desks - it is nice to be working on this mission together.
