The Lion King - revisited - Elbert CO May 13, 2023

We drove to Elbert to watch the grandchildren in their school play, plus hear Christian give his missionary farewell talk in church.  Joel and Anna went with us.  We stayed in Rawlins, Wyoming overnight on our way there and back!  Harold likes to drive in daylight!  Our motel was a little sketchy but fun! There was a bowling alley next to is - Joel and Anna went over but it was closed!! Here is the cast of the Lion King - front row, Ruby far left, Clark far right - holding the little one.

Clark and Ruby - they did great in their parts!

Sheffie was awesome!
Sheffie and Ruby - both were very good! All the children knew their lines and spoke them well!

Ruby and Faye - good actresses!

Sheffield and Faye - great job!

Assistant Director and Actress - amazing young woman!

Clark was the star of the show!

Ruby Farm Girl was a darling cheetah for the show!

On Sunday, Mother's Day, we attended church with Kurt and Emily's family.  Christian spoke about his mission - he leaves soon for the MTC in Provo.  He will learn Portuguese and will be a great missionary.  There was an open house at their home after church - yummy food, pretty flowers, wonderful people!  We left early afternoon so we could get back to Rawlins in daylight.
Wonderful trip - made even better because Joel and Anna came with us!

Awesome random event - Kurt and Emily brought their oldest at home to the Denver Temple.  Sue brought her two granddaughters, Dana and Francy to the visitors center and they found each other! Christian is preparing to leave on his mission soon. Love all these people!!!
