YSA Conference September 9 - 11
Friday September 9th - we drove an hour and half to the North west to a YFC - Youth For Christ camp. We had rented it for our Young Single Adults Conference - multiple stakes in our Area.
We had a small table with our BYU Pathway Worldwide tee shirts, hats, pens, and candy!
Registration was across the plaza from us. Thankfully they had sun shade screen up so we were not in the sun. It was a warm day - in the mid 80's!
Elder and Sister Swift are our Area Medical Advisors - he put on a BYU Pathway shirt and she was helping us set up. They work with our YSA Ward and were chaperones for the conference. We are lucky to live next door to them!
Next to the lodge at the camp there was this huge bottle brush tree.
A closer look at the red blooms that resemble a bottle brush! We had a nice afternoon and left so we could get home in daylight. Sad event - the Counselor in the Stake Presidency of the host stake was hijacked on his way to the camp The tee shirts and sound equipment was stolen, and his car! He was okay - that's the best thing! There are so many good and a few bad people in the world!!
