Random Happenings in September

We took the Mission Sewing machine in for a minor repair - the sewing shop had these quilts hanging up and I thought they were worthy of sharing!
It is amazing how creative some quilters are!  The older Elna machine was repaired in three days!
There are three buss stop sheds we pass by on our way from our flat to the Area Office.  They all had new advertising painted on them...what a great idea to influence community service!
Holland Insurance Company - I'm assuming you have to prove some kind of volunteer work - but sch a good idea to reward those who do!  Of course you should volunteer anyway and with no thought of reward but still!!
It makes the bus stops look better with all the bright colors.

Funny bush/tree in the parking lot of the Johannesburg Stake Center - we attended to hear the mission report of the daughter of one of our Pathway students.  The young sister was serving in Ukraine, Russian speaking - then when war came - served in about four other countries!  Great to hear her testimony in Russian!
Protea flower in the garden of the Area Office - these are the national flower - there are 5 varieties.
Elder Smith bought this mouse pad for his work computer - made us remember our family dog, Maverick!  Golden Retriever's are the best!
This picture is up in our Communications Department - I like it!
Elder David Berrett took this picture on a game preserve - then had prints made - he has an amazing camera and a great skill at taking pictures.
Elder and Sister Forsyth on their way home to Utah!  We will miss them and look forward to seeing them at Mission Reunions!
