More Monday adventures
Our afternoon game ride ran into the evening! Our guide had a spotlight and he found this lioness walking along the road. We followed her for about 10 minutes - he wanted to see which area she was staying in. She finally went off road into the bush and we returned to the lodge.
The game drives stop for snacks and to stretch legs - Here Lazarus is putting out treats and Elder Smith and the Perkins are waiting for them!
Lazarus took this photo of the four of us. Funny to put up a table, use a cloth, serve treats and soda's in the middle of the African Bush!!
In the dusk, we turned a corner and Elder Perkins said: I see some animals up ahead. Lazarus laughed and said - homo sapiens! Two other trucks had stopped for snacks! He had us take this picture of him and his other driver friends! They had never been mistaken for animals before!
More bird nests on the power poles and pretty sunset.
Here are a male and female lion on their honeymoon! You can see them laying down in the middle of the photo. Another jitney is on the other side of ours. These lions were so close! We actually saw them on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! Our guide told us exactly how they would behave and he was so right! Nature is wonderful.
Beautiful sunset as we were finishing our game ride.
The female lion leads the way and the male is anxious to follow!
They have been socialized to the trucks and just went about their lives! See how close?
Playful lioness. Lazarus told us they would be together for about four days - then she would go back to the pride of females and he the other males.
