Passover Seder Dinner April 16, 2022
Elder Golden's secretary = Pulemele was Sister Elggren's guest at our Senior Couples Passover Dinner.
Sister Swift is standing at the top left, Elder Swift if at the right stranding near the picture. They were in charge of the senior end of month potluck. They did a great job of teaching us all about the Passover - very meaningful that we did it Saturday before Easter Sunday.
Here are the six Elders who led the narration, and demonstrated the events. From the left, Elder Swift, Elder Watson, Elder Sims, Elder Forsyth, Elder Walston and handsome as ever - Elder Smith! The senior sisters held a Crafternoon and made the prayer shawls, yarmulkas, matza covers, tablecloths, etc.
The Swifts had some of the men bring the large pictures of Christ's life from the various departments of the Area Office and they made a wonderful setting for our Seder. Here is Sister Walston in her multicolored shawl.
Sister Sims is the best cook! She made both the chocolate cheesecake and the lemon one - delcious with fresh raspberries!
The food table - Sister Sims also did the flowers for each table. My avocado-mango salad is at the far back in the middle of the three salads. We always have delicious food at our parties. Everyone signs up to bring something - and we all looked up Passover recipes for salads, sides, and Sister Swift made the matza ball soup at the end of the table.
The Seder Plate - each items representing an event at the dinner.
Room set up and waiting for everyone to come - Elder Smith at the right near the table he was assigned to do his reading from.
Prayer shawls and yarmulkas that the sister made - I was happy to participate in sewing both! Sister Swift was so creative and great to work with - plus she lives next door to us - that was helpful!
