More Seder and Passover
Elder Smith reading his part of the narrative - Elder Walston demonstrating with the different foods on the seder plate. Flowers on each end of the table - arranged by Sister Sims.
Elder Watson reading at his table - Elder Sims getting ready to demonstrate. - Note cute felt yarmulkas the sisters made!
Elder Walston helping Sister Perkins wash her hands. He came around to our whole table and we washed twice during the ceremony of the Passover.
All the sisters wore shawls and lit the 'candles'! We read a prayer as we did it.
More lighting of the 'candles'.
We wished afterwards that we had a picture of all the sisters in their head coverings - oh well!
Sister Forsyth reading the ending narration. It was a lovely evening and we truly 'feast' when we get together. The Swifts had one of their children remark, after seeing the pictures: "I thought you were on a Mormon mission!" At the front of this picture is one of the matza bags that I was able to sew - 6 of them! The matza bag has four compartments for the cracker - with some meaning that I forgot! Also note the Minerva Teichert picture at the front of the room - the Jews returning to Jerusalem. Elder Swift was a doctor in Ogden and delivered three of Minerva Teichert's grandchildren!!
