Christmas Eve - Friday December 24, 2021

On Friday, Christmas Eve, we drove out to our assigned Ward - about an hour. I wanted you to see this speed limit sign - 120!  About 75 km of course!   We were going to meet with the Elders who serve both the First and Second Kwa Thema wards.  They had a District Meeting in the morning, we met them afterwards in a parking lot of a shopping center near their apartment.  We had brought small gifts for them - goodies, ties, bead elephants, etc.  When we met them there were four - not two elders!  We did not know that they lived with the elders who serve in the town about twenty minutes away - they share a car.  We bought all of us meat pies for lunch and then went to their apartment.  It is in a secure area - use your fingerprint to open the gate!
They were going to make us cookies - but didn't have time with District Meeting, so they gave us balls of cookie dough in their egg carton!
We cooked them when we came home - so sweet of them and yummy cookies! We were able to find more small gifts for the two extra elders and turned around and drove back so they could have them for Christmas Day.  We asked the Elders if they had a Christmas Tree and they didn't - so we gave them the little one that Polly sent with us!  They were thrilled!

This is the highway going to KwaThema area.  We enjoyed our Christmas Eve by being of service to our young elders!
