Visit to Pilanesberg Game Park

On Thursday, December 9, we drove with Elder and Sister Perkins to Pilanesberg Game Park.  It is about three hours northwest of Joburg.  While we were checking in I found this 4 -5 inch stripped grasshopper in the grass - so huge!  Then I also found this milliped crawling on the curb by the flower beds.  Our first wildlife!!!  j/k

The inside of the Black Rhino Lodge - very pretty.  At the check in counter they had this Wart Hog rug - cool!

Sister Perkins and Elder Smith checking in - notice the awesome picture of the Black Rhino!
Pictures of the insides of the large lodge.

When we looked at Pilanesberg Game Park online this is one of the pictures - yikes!  Actually in our part of the Park you had to ride in a Lodge Jitney and have a guide - fine with us!

  1. That is the biggest, most colorful grasshopper I have ever seen.

Looks like sometimes the elephant gets tired and finds a spot to rest.

I can't wait to see the rest of your adventure.
