Lion and Rhino Preserve - Saturday November 13th, 2021

On Saturday, November 13 - we went with Elder and Sister Perkins to a Rhino and Lion preserve that is about an hour out of town.  On the way I noticed an amusement park - see the Ferris wheel in the background? There were many other rides, a roller coaster, etc. but this big truck got in the way of my picture!
Another sight on the way there was this golden mosque - this time the light pole got in my way!
As we got nearer to the preserve we saw many bikers on the roads - both coming and going!
It seems there was a big race or at least an outing - notice our car is on the left of the roadway...everyone was careful about the bikes!
Bothongo Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve - amazing!
Outside of the ticket hut we noticed this thorn tree - ouch!
The ticket place had this thatched roof - very thick.
Another view of the ticket place, also a souvenir stand and small café.

This is the booklet that tells us about the reserve, and shows a map of where things are.
The book also shows pictures of the different animals and short descriptions and history - great!

We drove all over the reserve - Elder Perkins was driving and even tried a couple of the 4 x 4 only roads.  Our small Suv did okay - no damage!  It was fun.
Some animals in the far distance.  As we continued down different roads, we found animals very close by - sometimes too close!!
