Church on Sunday
Sunday we visited the Mayfield Branch with Elder and Sister Humphreys - they have been working with this branch for over a year. Sister H. teaches keyboard to 7 students after church. Mayfield is about an hour out of town, looks a lot like rural Jamaica. In the middle of this picture is a green John Deer tractor - he was plowing several fields around the church.
Beautiful children after church - playing in the trees.
Awesome tree roots for the kids to play on - most left before I could get a picture of them.
If you look close you can see small bird nests at the end of branches - weaver birds we were told.
Children playing on another tree with huge roots!
Classroom in the building - they are working to get a chapel - the church has metal portable ones that they may get soon.
This is the Branch Building - a lot like the small branch in Yallas, Jamaica - old house in the middle of a walled yard - big trees, - in Jamaica most Sunday's some goats would make it into the yard during church because the gate was open! The two elders here had over five investigators come to church! One of them Elder Nuensander (SP) was from Wenatchee and went to school with Shelby!!
One of thee three gate men that guard our complex. He has been given a Book of Mormon and asked us where he could go to church. We got his phone number and address and will give it to him this week. We have 24 hours guards - and he was off work Monday and Tuesday this week.
Our Apartment building name - which is on Oxford Road, number 51!!
Ready for Church!
Beautiful rainbow looking out our front room window - it has rained a little bit all week.
